So I went in not expecting too much given the neighborhood but I was absolutely amazed. I ordered the oysters, wings, shrimp and fries. (I really came in because of an oyster craving) I was pleasantly surprised that they use real, unprocessed, hand breaded oysters. The rest of the plate was great but the oysters brought it to another level. I will be back very soon

So I love to support local especially when it comes to great food. If you haven't heard of this place, you really need to check it out. The wings are great and the burgers hold up to the quality of the wings. For those in the Jacksonville area, you really need to stop by.
Was in the mood for some wings. Did a quick Google search and this restaurant came up. I feel extremely fortunate to have found it. The food was delicious. The young woman that owns it was very kind and had great customer service. The establishment is clean and those who were in the establishment were also very friendly. It is only 3 minutes from my office which is downtown. If you are in the neighborhood you should definitely stop in. I will have to save it for my cheat day... and today is that day :-). Do not judge me :-)
I decided to stop by this restaurant before working at the arena and I’m glad I did . I had the chicken wings and fries and they were delicious. I will be stopping by before or leaving work. It is black owned and we all need to support black businesses the food is good and the prices are reasonable . I will be trying everything on the menu.
Avenue grill is such an amazing little shop on a Philip Randolph boulevard that I have been eating there for years and the service. The food and the atmosphere hasn't changed since day one. Warm Great food and the owner is amazing. Stop by the chicken wings are to die for.
If you are around the arena and looking for decent, hot food that isn't overpriced. It's a grab and go kinda place, although there is seating inside and outside. We both got the Philly cheese steak and fries, and we were both pretty impressed! Come and check them out (and support local businesses)
I am a resident here in the Eastside Community... Out East in Jacksonville Florida where to get a good economical quality quick filling meal is very convenient thanks to Avenue Grill. Thanks and Love shouts to Cookie the owner. Catch them for holidays and Avenue block parties and events where most often she gives back to the community with free breakfasts and brunch.
